Capilano is a neighbourhood of Edmonton, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,236 living in private households. 9.3% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 2.4%. 84.7% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 6.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 10.3% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $114,000 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 16.5% of households rented rather than owned.
