McLaughlin is a neighbourhood of Spruce Grove, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,421 living in private households. 12.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was Filipino at 5.9%. 78.7% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 8.6% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 12.4% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $101,000 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 26.3% of households rented rather than owned.
