Strathcona is a neighbourhood of Edmonton, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,206 living in private households. 21.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 5.5%. 73.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 5.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 17.8% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $67,000 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 66.9% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.63 km², giving a population density of 3,813 people per square kilometre (Greater Edmonton averages about 144).
