Riverdale is a neighbourhood of Edmonton, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 2,109 living in private households. 13.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 3.5%. 77.6% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 9.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 12.1% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $95,000 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 41.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.36 km², giving a population density of 1,554 people per square kilometre (Greater Edmonton averages about 144).
