Chinatown North is a neighbourhood of Edmonton, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 1,365 living in private households. 63.1% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 16.9%. 31.8% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.7% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 50.0% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $35,600 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 78.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.67 km², giving a population density of 2,046 people per square kilometre (Greater Edmonton averages about 144).
