The Gardens is a neighbourhood of St. Albert, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 7,204 living in private households. 9.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was Filipino at 3.4%. 84.9% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 5.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 14.4% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $101,000 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 14.3% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 3.31 km², giving a population density of 2,179 people per square kilometre (Greater Edmonton averages about 144).
