Castle Downs is a neighbourhood of Edmonton, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 2,387 living in private households. 19.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was Arab at 7.2%. 71.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 9.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 19.5% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $78,500 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 28.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.16 km², giving a population density of 2,064 people per square kilometre (Greater Edmonton averages about 144).
