Caernarvon is a neighbourhood of Edmonton, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,972 living in private households. 49.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 14.1%. 42.6% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 7.6% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 35.9% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $82,000 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 37.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.63 km², giving a population density of 3,674 people per square kilometre (Greater Edmonton averages about 144).
