Montrose is a neighbourhood of Edmonton, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,187 living in private households. 24.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 9.9%. 63.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 12.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 22.0% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $75,500 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 34.4% of households rented rather than owned.
