Sturgeon County (south-southeast) is a neighbourhood of Sturgeon County, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,955 living in private households. 2.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 1.2%. 89.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 8.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 4.6% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $116,000 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 10.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 255.52 km², giving a population density of 23 people per square kilometre (Greater Edmonton averages about 144).
