Sturgeon County (southwest) is a neighbourhood of Sturgeon County, in Greater Edmonton. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,819 living in private households. 8.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 33.0% across Greater Edmonton as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 1.2%. 85.2% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 6.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 9.1% of the population, compared with 26.0% citywide. Median household income before tax was $146,000 in 2020, compared with $96,000 for Greater Edmonton. 26.7% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 92.81 km², giving a population density of 63 people per square kilometre (Greater Edmonton averages about 144).
